The Peruvian Society of International Law (SPDI), chaired by Ambassador Oscar Maurtua de Romaña, is the host entity and has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the World Network of International Law Societies (GNSIL) and the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).

International law societies have the purpose of seeking knowledge and promoting international law. In fact, the Societies have contributed, and continue to contribute, to shape and consolidate the norms of international law.
Today, they have an important role to play in accompanying, anticipating and
promote the necessary developments of international law.
